If the Super Copa of Spain is a sign of what is to come for this new season, then we have in our hands a hell of a season. It is for that reason that I have decided to update this blog more often. Moreover, the events from last season were killing me to release my rage into this blog, but thanks to my busy schedule those feelings never found themselves onto this page. Now that I think about it, it was probably for the best. Nonetheless, the events from the Super Copa have driven me to  get back on here. I have seen things that I am incredibly upset about (I know that I’m not the only one), and there were positive things that lead me to believe that this will be a great season for us. So therefore, this madridista is back… let’s just hope this strike situation gets settled out, so we can enjoy La Liga!

One of the best nights of my life!!!

I must begin with two apologies: 1. For posting this super late (summer laziness) and 2. for the camera failure I had during the game, meaning that the person in charge of the camera took atrocious pictures! Nonetheless, I am pleased to tell you that I had fantastic seats and a blast watching this brand spanking new Real Madrid. Here are the pics:

Most of the pictures are from the warm up and the first half as the second half was too exciting to bother to take pictures. Sorry, we really wanted to enjoy the game! The fans gathered as close as possible to see their heroes in the flesh.

Sergio Ramos got the most screams and the fans even started to chant his name. He returned the gesture with a wave and smile.

The teams line up. Ramos is the captain.

I wanted to note that there was no Spanish national anthem played nor where the flags brought out like is accustomed. This most likely is due to the horrific error at the America v. Madrid match were the Franquist flag was displayed.

The moment Galaxy scores the first goal

Second half. Ronaldo and the other big guns take the field.

Moments after Pedro Leon scores the third and final goal. Los Blancos win and leave 89,000+ fans who attended the Rose Bowl spectacle real happy. It was a special night indeed.

I am fortunate to have seen this beloved team of mine twice, and let me tell you it is spectacular to see them physically in action. They storm into the grounds like warriors and yet they float around like angels. Maybe its the extra bright lights in the stadium or the fact that we know they are mega stars, but its something unique and indescribable of the aura that surrounds these players and more importantly the club. If this feeling comes over me when seeing them at the Rose Bowl, I can’t imagine the sensation one feels when stepping the grounds of the Bernabeu. Someday…

Real Madrid and LA

Ok I assume everyone is caught up with the news that Real Madrid’s pre season is being spent in the fantastic state of California, where the boys will give us a glimpse of what this new Madrid at the helms of Mourinho will be like in this upcoming season. Plus it is here in California where we will get a chance to see the latest signings by Madrid: Khedira and Di Maria. Yes the football world will be playing close attention to what Mou and the neo-galacticos can offer, and best of all is that I have a ticket to be close up and personal to see the action with my very own eyes! Proof below (sorry for the crap-tastic pic)!

This will be the second time I see los vikingos and I have bolts of excitement running through my body just waiting for Saturday to come! Sure this batch of galacticos don’t include Figo and Zidane, but seeing Pipita, Ronaldo, and Kaka is just as awesome!

Now my biggest disappointment is that throughout this whole time the boys have been here in my beloved Los Angeles is that I have not done any major stalking around all over Beverly Hills. I seriously should have at least two restraining orders but alas my busy schedule has kept me away from such fandom. However, come Saturday I will try to get as close up to the players to bring you my readers some interesting pictures. If that doesn’t work expect me to be at LAX airport the day they leave back for Europe!!

Alright my Madridista’s time to sign out! Let the countdown for Saturday begin!!!
